Course Description

Mayo Clinic Cardiovascular Reviews in Bahrain will provide an overview of many aspects of cardiovascular medicine. Mayo Clinic experts will give in-depth, engaging lectures on

state-of-the-art subjects in cardiovascular medicine. The program format will guide you and your colleagues through intense, interactive study covering: general cardiology, coronary artery disease (CAD), risk factors, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, heart failure, congenital heart disease, vascular disease and rhythm disorders.

 

Optional focused sessions on echocardiography and knowledge assessment learning will be available in the evening.  This comprehensive program will be a valuable educational opportunity to review highlights for clinical evaluation and management of patients encountered in daily practice.

 

Course Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Interpret common ECG and EP
  • Describe how to assess and manage patients with valvular heart
  • Interpret echocardiographic images.
  • Summarize hemodynamic catheterization traces.
  • Express how to apply basic cardiovascular physiology to patient
  • Describe diagnosis and treatment of patients with acute coronary
  • Identify signs of heart failure and differentiate treatment for advanced heart

Mayo Clinic Cardiovascular Reviews in Bahrain will be held January 27-30, 2016.  The program will be held at The Gulf Hotel Bahrain. The Gulf Hotel, a landmark in Manama, stands tall in the commercial district of Adliya. It is only 15 minutes away from any main attraction and the Bahrain International Airport.

The SHA27 program mainly begins on the first day with a series of workshops in 7 different tracks in addition to abstract presentations and nomination of Prof. Mohammed Al-Faqih Award winner

The second day of the program highlights sessions collaborated with International organizations such as ESC, EACTS, PACHDA, ASNC/EACVI, Egyptian Society of Cardiology and other sessions from the different specialty. The third day of the event continues the international joint sessions from American College of Cardiology, Gulf Heart Association, Canadian Cardiovascular Society & Turkish Society of Cardiology.

Fore/part on the third day is the Plenary Session in the morning with invited international guests.
